What is the Pathway Qualification?
CIBTAC Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Cosmetic Practice
This ‘Bridge Qualification’ will enable you to have the essential skills to work in a salon setting and prepare you with the foundation knowledge to advanced into aesthetic trainings including; Skin Peels, Skin Micro-needling, Laser & Light Therapy and much more.
This qualification is OFQUAL Recognised. It aims to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills to carry out the recognised skin analysis and assessment treatments in today’s market.
Structure, Delivery & Assessment of the Pathway Qualification?
The CIBTAC Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Cosmetic Practice is made up from 4 mandatory units:
Mandatory section A – All units to be taken

Monitor and maintain health and safety in the salon

Client care and communication in beauty related industries
-
Provide skin analysis and assessment
-
Beauty therapy science
Mandatory section B – one unit to be taken
-
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for skin treatments
-
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for beauty and spa therapy
Optional section C – unit may be taken if chosen

Provide Electrical Epilation
What will the Pathway Qualification enable me to do?
Achievement of CIBTAC Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Cosmetic Practice will provide the progression to the study of beauty therapy and aesthetic treatments at Level 4, for example, IQ Verify Level 4 Skin Rejuvenation and our CIBTAC Level 4-5 in Skin Rejuvenation, which includes both skin peel and micro-needling.
It also opens the door for a wider range of beauty and aesthetic procedures including Level 4 Laser & Light for Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation and Face and Body Electrotherapies.
